Lake Erie Council Silver Beaver Society

Established 2024

Every year since 1931, The Silver Beaver Award (and Silver Fawn 1971-1974) has been awarded to Scouting’s volunteers for their exceptional service to youth and families. Without these volunteers and those they have inspired along the Scouting trail, Scouting would not have been able to change as many young lives as it has.

On March 2nd at the 2024 Lake Erie Council Celebration of Scouting, the tradition continues. Congratulations to the Lake Erie Council Class of 2023 Silver Beaver Recipients:

These five individuals join the over 2,200 Silver Beaver and Silver Fawn recipients across today’s Lake Erie Council footprint.

As fellow recipients of this prestigious honor, we ask that you consider making a donation to the new Lake Erie Council Silver Beaver Society. The intent of the Society is to defray the costs of the annual Celebration of Scouting so that not just our Silver Beaver’s, but all our award recipients, can attend the event in their honor for no cost.

The total cost of a Silver Beaver attendee and their guest is $250. The average cost of the other awardees is $100. All of our award recipients pay $0.

Please consider making a donation to the Silver Beaver Society. As a token of appreciation, we will recognize each donor at this year’s celebration. Those who give $250 or more will receive a lapel pin with the date of 2024, the first year of this Society.
