WE’RE JOINING THE FIGHT AGAINST HUNGER, WE’RE SCOUTING FOR FOOD!
Scouts are asked to distribute door hangers in their communities with the information about the upcoming food drive. Then, the following Saturday, return to pick up and deliver donations to their local food banks or pantries.

SUGGESTED TIMELINE
SEPTEMBER
Contact your local food bank or pantry to coordinate your drive.
Start encouraging Scouts to participate and determine how many adults will be available to drive when picking up food.
Coordinate with other units, if applicable, coverage of the houses in your community.
OCTOBER
Invite friends and family to join in delivering door hangers.
Submit request for patches and door tags.
NOVEMBER
Pick up supplies at the Council Service Center.
On Saturday, August 24th, deliver door tags in your community.
On Saturday, August 31st, collect donations and deliver them to your local food bank.
DECEMBER
Report your final results by submitting total pounds collected as well as total number of participants.
