Supernova Awards:
Supernova Awards are the highest ranking award in the Nova program. There are three total awards you can achieve in succession, each one requiring the previous award to be completed.
The Dr. Bernard Harris Award:
Named after Dr. Bernard Harris, who was the first African American Astronaut to perform an extra-vehicular activity during the second of his two Space Shuttle flights, this is the first award in the Supernova Award path. This award must be completed to earn other Supernova Awards.
The Thomas Alva Edison Award:

Supernova Activities
Scouts are required to complete Supernova Activities to earn Supernova Awards. There are 3 activities in each of the 4 STEM areas: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Scouts seeking to earn the Albert Einstein award will need to complete 8 total activities, 2 in each STEM category. Click on the Category below to see the Supernova Activities.
