3-Minute Update - March 20, 2025

Hey everyone, welcome to this week’s 3-minute update. I’m your host, Tyler Matthews, coming to you live from the Adventure Lab! We’re getting ready for Spring Break at the Adventure Lab, happening March 31st through April 4th where scouts and non-scouts alike can come learn about home repair, woodworking, cooking, music, art, theater and more! Let’s go over some upcoming training! EDGE training is happening! April 5th at Beaumont and May 18that the unit service center. Scoutmaster basic, which is required for all scoutmasters and assistant scoutmasters, is happening April 11-13th at Firelands. BALOO training, which every cub scout pack needs a few of, is happening April 25th-27th at Firelands. Rangemaster training takes place on April 5th at Beaumont, and April 12th at Firelands. Plus, registrations for wood badge and NYLT are now open. You can find all these training courses, and registrations at lecscouting.org/calendar.

Join us for the Sasquatch Quest Spring Camporee out at Beaumont Scout Reservation on April 11! Activities include Rifle, Archery, Tracking, Animal and Plant Identification, Tomahawk, and more! Sign up today and you can contact Rob Burnham or Anthony Dworning for details.

Calling all Catholic scouts, the “Pilgrims of Hope” Retreat for Jubilee 2025 is happening on Saturday, May 10th at the center for pastoral leadership in Wickliffe Ohio. The cost is $5, and you can register by emailing Jim Hickey. Come in full class A uniforms, and attendees will need to bring 2 food pantry items, a rosary, a brown bag lunch, and the Scout medical forms A & B. Registration closes May 3rd, so don’t delay!

The 2026 National Jamboree registration is now open! Register soon to secure your spot! We are looking to fill a 40-person male unit and a 20-person female unit. If you have any questions, send an email to Jamboree@lecbsa.org
