Do you or someone you know have a child in scouting with special needs? The Accessibility and Inclusion committee is here to help provide training and resources for you and your scout on their journey to Eagle. The committee can also provide support at the Unit and Council program level for those interested. Our Liason and Leader Development sub-committee are here to help! This is the final call for Wood Badge! If you’ve been thinking about attending this summer’s course, now is the time to sign up. Weekend 1 begins July 24th at Firelands Scout Reservation, so sign up today to be a part of this once in a lifetime training opportunity.
The Adventure Lab still has lots of fun in store for this summer! With programs for all grades and ages, find what sparks an interest for you by joining for one of our upcoming programs. Registration is now open for this summer’s membership rallies! These rally’s will help your unit be prepared to go out and meet new scouting families to join your pack or troop this fall. Come learn about all the resources at your disposal and the current strategies being utilized to maximize your unit’s recruitment. There is one in person session happening Saturday, July 11th from 9am to 11am at the unit service center. There are also two virtual meetings happening Thursday, July 16th and Monday, July 20th at 6pm via zoom. Scoutmaster Basic Training (Sept 11-13 at Beaumont) will give you all the tools you need to lead and train the youth of your Scout Troop. And we'll do it in an outdoor experience that will give you a lived appreciation for the challenges of a youth learning to lead in a weekend campout.
