There will also be a virtual popcorn kickoff on June 29th.

Scouting America has launched a revised Troop Self-Assessment program designed to replace the Journey to Excellence (JTE) system with a more user-friendly approach that takes just 10 minutes per topic to complete. The new assessment features 9-12 targeted questions that help troops identify strengths and growth opportunities throughout the year, not just annually. This streamlined tool provides immediate feedback, connects troops with tailored resources, and integrates with the Unit Metrics system. Scout leaders can access this game-changing assessment tool through the Troop Leader Resources website, with additional implementation guides coming soon.

Spend your Summer exploring at The Adventure Lab! Each day of Summer provides students with the opportunity to explore different areas such as: STEM, First Aid, Crafts & Common Arts, Cooking, Health Care, Fine Arts, Communications, Robotics, and more! Each day is filled with hands-on activities, collaborative team building, and career exploration. Each day will be taught by a trained counselor in the subject area or a professional in the field. Programs for K-5th graders will include additional activities such as Climbing Wall, Archery, Sling Shots, and BB Range. Programs for 6th-12th graders will include additional Climbing Wall opportunities. Programs fill the day from 9am-4pm, and we allow for drop off as early as 8:45 am. Programming will conclude at 4pm, and all students are expected to be picked up by 4:30pm. Lunch will be provided for students daily.  Students can attend 1 day or multiple days.

That’s it for this week folks! Until next time, remember to stay prepared, stay adventurous, and keep the spirit of Scouting alive.
