In recruitment news, We’ve made it all the way up to 5,221 youth members in Lake Erie Council! Let’s keep up the good work and make October just as awesome as September was! With that, let’s jump into this week’s news.
Cub Fun Day is taking place at Firelands Scout reservation on Saturday, November 8th from 9am to 4pm. Activities will include archery, BB’s, slingshots, fishing, apple smashing, and more. This awesome day is filled with range and target activities as well as other big hit programs, making it a great first camp excursion for packs with new members! Sign up today!
Troops join us on November 14-15 at BSR for a merit badge university, badges that will be offered are citizenship and Society, AI, cyber security, rifle, public speaking, and more contact Heather McMilian for more information
You know what’s cool? Trained leaders! Do you want to be cool? Make sure that you and all leaders Safeguarding Youth Training is up to date, Hazardous weather training is complete, and your position specific training is complete as well. Our Scouts deserve the best leaders possible, and that starts with training!
Speaking of training, EDGE training is at Firelands on October 25th, and at the Unit Service center on November 15th. Sign up through the council calendar!

Do you have scouts with only partially completed merit badges and need help to finish? If you have partials for communication, Emergency preparedness, first aid, fire safety, fish and wildlife management, golf, painting, safety, search and rescue, or wilderness survival, than you should fill out this brief surveyso that the adventure lab can put together programs to help finish your badge!
